How to top-up your prepaid balance

Prepaid Balance Top-up

Its important to note that in order to successfully top up you Prepaid Balance via EFT or ABSA ATM you need to add your Wallet ID as your reference. In order to get your Wallet ID follow the steps below:

  1.  On the prepaid menu select "Prepaid Balance"
  2. This will lead you to the Prepaid Balance screen which will contain the following
    1. Available Balance - This is how much you currently have available to purchase prepaid products
    2. Wallet ID - This is your unique Wallet ID that you use as your reference in order to successfully top up your balance when doing EFT or at the ATM
    3. Pending Profit - This is the profit amount accumulated from selling prepaid that is due to you and will get settled in the first week of the following month
    4. Top Up button - select this button for more details on the available top-up options and account details that you will use when topping up your prepaid balance.

NB: The Wallet ID shown below is for educational purposes. Please check your device to get your unique Wallet ID.

Bring your cash to an ABSA Cash Accepting ATM:

Note: Not all ABSA ATMs accept cash deposits. You can usually find out which ATMs accept cash deposits on the ATM screen or above the ATM like in the picture above. 


Deposit the cash into iKhokha's bank account, using your iKhokha Prepaid Balance ID as the Transaction Reference.

You can find your iKhokha Prepaid Balance ID by opening your iKhokha App and selecting "iK Prepaid" then "Prepaid Balance" then "Top-up".

⚠️ Make sure that you enter our account details as well as your Prepaid Balance ID correctly, otherwise your money will be deposited to the wrong account!

Log into your online banking.

Make an EFT to iKhokha's ABSA bank account, using your iKhokha Prepaid Balance ID as the Transaction Reference.

You can find your iKhokha Prepaid Balance ID by opening your iKhokha App and selecting "iK Prepaid" then "Prepaid Balance" then "Top-up".

⚠️ Make sure that you enter our account details as well as your Prepaid Balance ID correctly, otherwise your money will be deposited to the wrong account!

🕐 Your money will top-up your Available Balance within 1 working day if you bank with ABSA and 2 working days if you use another bank


Top-up using a debit or credit card

 ⚠️ Only available for iK Shaker Duo or iK Mover machines paired with bluetooth

  • Open the iKhokha app on your phone
  • Make sure your card machine is paired with your app
  • Select iK Prepaid
  • Select Balance
  • Select Top-Up
  • Select Top-Up Option (Card)
  • Enter the amount to top up
  • Click ‘Next’ (will return the top-up amount entered, service fee charged, and the final top-up amount)
  • Click ‘Confirm’
  • Click ‘Charge’
  • Process the card transaction like any other card transaction
