What you’ll find in the Settings menu

The Settings menu is where you can customise how your card machine works, manage your connection settings and find important device and account information.

To open it, tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the home screen.

At the top of the screen, you'll see your trading name and Merchant ID (MID). If your device isn't linked, you'll also see a prompt that lets you start the device linking process.

Manage your network settings

If you're having trouble connecting, you can check your network settings from the Network section.

Here you can:

  • View your SIM settings.
  • Connect to or change a Wi-Fi network.
  • Open your device's network or Wi-Fi settings for further troubleshooting.

View your device information

The Device section contains information about your card machine that may be needed when troubleshooting or speaking to Support.

Here you'll find details such as:

  • App version.
  • Build version.
  • Operating system version.
  • Device ID (serial number).
  • Device KSN.

If your device hasn't linked automatically, you can also try linking it manually from this screen.

Note: If manual device linking isn't successful, please contact Support on 087 222 7000 or email support@ikhokha.com for assistance.

Change the app theme

You can choose how the app appears on your card machine.

Available options include:

  • System (matches your card machine or smartphone’s system settings)
  • Day mode
  • Night mode

Select your preferred theme and tap Apply to save your changes.

Customise how you sell

The Controls section lets you choose which features you'd like to use during a sale.

Show or hide iK Prepaid

If you don't sell prepaid products, you can hide the iK Prepaid tile from your home screen.

Turn Sell Prepaid off to remove the tile, or turn it back on whenever you need it again.

Turn cash payments on or off

By default, you can choose between Card and Cash when taking a payment.

If you only accept card payments, you can turn Accept Cash Payments off. When this setting is disabled, new sales will go straight to the card payment screen without asking you to choose a payment method.

Turn tipping on or off

Use the Include Tip setting to decide whether customers are prompted to leave a tip during checkout.

When this setting is turned off, the tip screen won't appear during the payment process.

Show or hide your Catalogue

If you use the Catalogue feature, leave Include Catalogue turned on to access your saved products when creating a new sale.

If you turn it off, new sales will only display the amount entry screen.
