Please note: To capture a reference during checkout, make sure the Catalogue tab appears on the right side of the sell screen. If it's not visible, go to Settings and enable “Include Catalogue” to display the Catalogue tab.

  1. Login to the iKhokha app with the username and password you created when signing up. When entering the app, the default screen will be the Keypad with a Catalogue tab to the right .

  2. Select the “More” option in the bottom right corner of the screen.

  3. Select the cog icon in the top right corner to open Settings.

  4. In Settings, find the option called “Include Catalogue” and slide the switch to the ON position. The switch will be yellow when ON.

  5. Press the back button to close Settings.

  6. Press the back button again to return to the Keypad.


Shaker Solo

  1. Press the “Menu” button on the Shaker Solo to start

  2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the "Settings" option, or press the corresponding number on the keypad to quick-select the option and then press the green "Enter" button to select it

  3. Select the "User Settings" menu item then press the green "Enter" button

  4. Select the "Include Ref" menu item and press the green "Enter" button. You will notice that when you press "enter" on a highlighted option, the menu will switch between Enabled and Disabled repeatedly

  5. Keep "Include Ref" enabled to capture unique reference numbers during your transactions

  6. Return to the main screen and proceed with your transactions


Capture a reference for a transaction in the cart

  1. The amount is displayed above the keypad

  2. If you made a mistake, you can use the clear button to start over

  3. When you have entered the total amount, press the "Add to cart” button at the bottom of the screen to proceed. The “Add to cart” button will not be tap-able if no amount is entered

  4. A message will show that you have successfully added an amount to the cart . You can tap the “VIEW CART” button on the message to go to the cart

  5. Press the green cart button at the top right of the screen to proceed to the cart

    1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray

    2. If an amount has been added to the cart, the button will become green

  6. Tap the “Add Reference” button above the items listed in the cart

  7. When the full screen called “Add reference” opens, tap in the text box to start typing

  8. Use the keyboard to type in your transaction reference, the field is limited to twenty characters

  9. When you are done, tap the “Add” button in the top right corner, you will return to the cart

  10. The reference will be displayed above the items in the cart

  11. Review the cart and press “Charge” to proceed to select the payment method of choice

  12. Once the transaction is processed the Transaction reference will be visible on digital and printed receipts as well as downloadable excel reports


Shaker Solo

  1. Press the "Payment" button on the Shaker Solo to start

  2. Use the numeric keypad to enter the transaction amount. Press the green "Enter" button to proceed

  3. Next, use the alpha-numeric keypad to enter your custom reference number and press the "Enter"

  4. Complete the transaction by inserting, tapping, or swiping the customer's debit or credit card on the Shaker Solo

  5. You can find the transaction reference at the bottom of the printed receipt. You can also find it in the top right corner of the online receipt, and in the downloadable excel reports available on Dashboard and in the Recon portal.

Edit the transaction reference

  1. The transaction reference captured is displayed above the items in the cart. Tap the reference to open the full screen view where you added the transaction reference in the previous steps

  2. Tap in the text field and use the keyboard to edit the transaction reference

  3. When you are done, tap the “Add” button in the top right corner, you will return to the cart

  4. The reference will be displayed above the items in the cart

  5. Review the cart and press “Charge” to proceed to select the payment method of choice

  6. Once the transaction is processed the Transaction reference will be visible on digital and printed receipts as well as downloadable excel reports


Remove the transaction reference

  1. The transaction reference captured is displayed above the items in the cart

  2. Tap the “X” next to the transaction reference to remove it, the button called “Add Refence” will return, indicting that you have not added a reference

  3. Review the cart and press “Charge” to proceed to select the payment method of choice

  4. Once the transaction is processed the Transaction reference will be visible on digital and printed receipts as well as downloadable excel reports
