How to Top-up from Sales – Once-Off
A once-off top-up lets you reserve a specific amount from your Sales balance to be added to your Prepaid Balance during the next payout cycle.
⏰ Top-ups from Sales are processed the next day at 8am, provided you have enough available Sales funds.
How to do a once-off top-up from Sales
- Log into your card machine or iKhokha app
- Select Prepaid
- Tap Prepaid Balance
- Select Top up at the bottom of the screen
- Choose Top up from sales
- Select Once-off top-up
- Enter the amount you want to top up
- Tap Reserve for top-up
- An OTP will be sent to your registered email address
- Enter the OTP and tap Verify
- Select Done
You’ll now see a confirmation that your top-up request has been created.


What happens next
- Your top-up will be processed the next day at 8am
- The amount will be taken from your available Sales balance
- The funds will be added to your Prepaid Balance
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once the top-up is completed
Auto Top-Ups from Sales (Recurring) – How-to Steps
Auto top-ups – how it works
Auto Top-Ups help you keep your prepaid balance topped up automatically.
You set a Prepaid Balance target, and when your balance drops below that target, we’ll automatically top it up using your Sales funds before payouts are processed.
⏰ Auto Top-Ups are processed the next day at 8am (not instantly).
How to set up Auto Top-Ups from Sales
- Log into your card machine or iKhokha app
- Select Prepaid
- Tap Prepaid Balance
- Select Top up at the bottom of the screen
- Choose Top up from sales
- Select Auto top-ups
- Enter your Prepaid Balance target amount
- Tap Set target and confirm
- An OTP will be emailed to you
- Enter the OTP and tap Verify
- Select Done
You’ll now see your target amount displayed under Pending balance target.


What happens next
- When your Prepaid Balance drops below your target, an Auto Top-Up is created
- The top-up is processed the next day at 8am
- Funds are taken from your available Sales balance
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once the top-up is completed
Cancelling a top-up from Sales
Cancelling a once-off top-up
- You can cancel a pending once-off top-up before it’s processed.
Cancelling Auto Top-Ups
- Go to Prepaid Balance
- Select Cancel top-up
- Choose Cancel auto top-up
- Select a reason for cancellation or add a note
- Tap Cancel top-up
Once cancelled, no future automatic top-ups will be processed.
Important things to know (applies to both)
- Top-ups from Sales are not instant
- If your Sales balance is lower than the requested amount, a partial top-up may be processed
- If no Sales funds are available, the top-up will not be processed
- Top-ups from Sales are free
- Only completed fund movements appear in your balance and statements
OTP verification
- An OTP will be sent to the email address linked to your iKhokha account
- The screen will show the email the OTP was sent to.
- If you no longer have access to that email, please contact email support@ikhokha.com or call 087 222 7000 to update your details
- You can request a new OTP by selecting Resend OTP
When will the funds be available
- At 8 am the next day
- Once complete, your Prepaid Balance will update automatically.
- You will receive a notification email confirming the top-up.
Important: The final top-up amount depends on how much money is available after the daily settlement mark-off.
If your sales are lower than the requested top-up amount, we will only top up the amount that is available from that day’s card sales.
There are no fees and no extra charges. The full available amount is added to your balance.
Weekend and public holiday delays
If a top-up request is submitted over a weekend or public holiday, the funds will only be settled on the next working day. This may result in up to a two-day delay.
Can I cancel a top-up?
Yes. If the top-up has not yet been completed, you can cancel it.
- Go to the Pending top-up message
- Select Cancel
- Select a reason for the cancelation

Important to know
- Only unsettled card sales can be used
- This top-up method is free
- Processing times depend on the bank settlement cycle
- Your Prepaid Balance can be used to buy Airtime, Data, Gaming vouchers, and more
