Android Updates on the iK Flyer
Just like your smartphone, your iK Flyer occasionally needs Android updates to keep it secure and running smoothly. Here’s what to expect when an update becomes available, how to install it, and what happens if you skip it.
What is an Android update on the iK Flyer?
Answer: From time-to-time there will be security or performance updates to the Android operating system installed on the iK Flyer. These updates work just like your phone and ensures that your device is working at it's best.
How do I know if there is an Android update available on my iK Flyer
Answer: You will be notified of updates in one of two ways:
Update notifications on the device:
When there is an update available you will get a notification on your device
Once the update is successfully downloaded, the device will notify you to install the update
While the update installs, you will not be able to transact
After the update is installed, the device will restart
You are now ready to start trading again
The "System Update" app:
Open the "System Update" app located in the folder called "Tools"
Press the "Check the update" button
If there is an update available, you can start the download
Tip: Press the "Speed Limited" button and move the slider all the way to the right so that the setting states "Speed not limited". This is the fastest way to download the update.
Install and Reboot
When the download is 100% complete, the update will be validated
When the update is ready to install, select the button called "Reboot the update"
This will start the installation
Once the installation is complete the iK Flyer will restart automatically
The iKhokha app should automatically open after the device switches back on
What happens if I skip the update?
Answer: Opting not to update your device could result in performance issues. It's best to ensure that you keep your device up to date. We will keep reminding you to update Android on your iK Flyer.

Answer: It is normal for the device to be a bit slow at first. This is due to all the services starting up in the background.
