Your Guide to Making Your First Shaker Solo Transaction
The iK Shaker Solo is a legacy device and is no longer sold. The steps below are for merchants who already own one. If you need a current device, look at the iK Flyer. The iK Flyer Lite and iK Tap on Phone are also available.
Your First Transaction on the iK Shaker Solo
Ready for your first sale? You can run a quick test transaction to see how it all works. If you'd rather have someone walk you through it, call us on 087 222 7000 and the team will talk you through your first one. Otherwise, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Switch on. Turn on your Shaker Solo.
Step 2: Wake it up. Press any button to start.
Step 3: Start the sale. When the screen shows "purchase", press the green button.
Step 4: Enter a test amount. Something small works well, for example R3.50.
Step 5: Take the card. Insert, swipe or tap, then enter the PIN.
Step 6: Print the receipt.
That's a full transaction from start to finish. Any sale you take shows up in your reports, so you can keep track of your takings as you go.
