Add products to the cart

The Catalogue functionality in the iK App gives you the power to make running a business simpler. It helps you track sales and improve your offering to your customer.

Add an item to the cart

Once you have a Catalogue, you can quickly add items to speed up checkout. The iKhokha app gives you the ability to add items and make changes to to your cart seamlessly before proceeding to take payment 

1. Login to the iKhokha app with the username and password you created when signing up. When entering the app, the default screen will be the Keypad . Select the “Catalogue” tab on the top right of the screen  
2. Find the first item you would like to add to the cart. Tap the item to add to cart, the item is tinted grey to indicate that it was added to the cart 
3. You will see a notification indicating that the item was added to the cart and the cart icon on the top right of the screen will turn green, indicating that you have successfully added an item to the cart 
4. Keep repeating the process until you added all the products you are about to sell to the cart 
5. The green cart icon in the top right corner will show you the total quantity of items added to the cart 
6. Once all the items are added to the cart, press the green cart icon to review the cart 
7. The total amount calculated is displayed at the bottom and in the “Charge” button  
8. Press the charge button to proceed to the payment method selection 

Edit the item in the cart

Before proceeding to payment, you can review the cart and make final changes before proceeding to charge the total amount using the payment method of choice. 

1. Press the green cart button in the top right corner of the screen to open the cart 
   1. If the cart button is grey, the cart is empty 
2. The cart lists all the products added from top to bottom 
3. Each item in the cart has a quantity indicator 
   1. Tap the plus or minus button next to the item description listed in the cart OR to edit in a full screen view, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the listed item to open the full screen  
4. If you need to add a different product that is not in the cart, press the back button to return to your Catalogue to find the product. All items added to your cart will remain there unless your remove them individually or clear the cart completely

Edit the quantity

Should you need to adjust the quantity of any product, you can do so by changing the quantity directly on the item in the cart or open the item in a full screen view. 

1. Tap the plus or minus button next to the item description listed in the cart OR edit in a full screen view 
   1. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the listed item  
   2. Select the pencil icon to open the full screen  
2. In full screen view, edit the quantity using the plus and minus buttons, the number will update  
   1. You can also edit the number directly by tapping inside the textbox  
3. In full screen view, press the “Update” button at the top right of the screen to confirm the changes to the item quantity, you will return to the cart  
4. Review the total amount displayed at the bottom of the cart  
5. This amount is now updated based on the quantity changes you made earlier  
6. The total amount calculated is displayed at the bottom and inside the “Charge” button 

Remove an item from the cart

The iKhokha app allows you to easily remove items you’ve added to the cart.  

1. If the total quantity of an item added to cart is one, you can press the trash can icon to the left of the quantity 
2. If the total quantity of the item added to cart is more than one, you can decrease the quantity until you remove the item from the cart OR you can open the full screen view 
   1. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the listed item  
   2. Select the trash can icon to remove the item from the cart  

Clear the cart

If you would like to start over completely, the iKhokha app allows you to clear the entire cart all at once. 

1. To open the cart, tap the green cart button in the top right corner  
   1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be grey  
   2. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green  
2. Press the “CLEAR ALL” button in the top right  
3. Press the back button to return to the Catalogue
