Add item descriptions

The iKhokha app allows you to track your sales by adding descriptions to items in your cart. These descriptions appear on receipts and in downloadable reports.

Add an item description 

The iKhokha app allows you to keep track of all the items you sell. You can add descriptions to each amount you add to your cart and these descriptions will be displayed on the receipt and available in the downloadable excel reports 

1. Login to the iKhokha app with the username and password you created when signing up . When entering the app, the default screen will be the Keypad  
2. Enter the amount you wish to charge  
   1. The amount is displayed above the keypad  
   2. If you made a mistake, you can use the clear button to start over  
3. Tap the “Add description” field on the screen to start typing a description 
4. When the textbox opens over the keypad, enter your description using the on-screen keyboard 
5. Press the “Add” button just above the textbox to confirm the description and proceed to the next step 
6. Now that you have entered your description and amount, press the "Add to cart” button at the bottom of the screen to proceed  
   1. A message will show that you have successfully added an amount to the cart  
7. You can repeat this process to add multiple amounts with unique descriptions to the cart 
8. Press the green cart button at the top right of the screen to proceed to the cart  
   1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray  
   2. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green  
9. The total amount calculated is displayed at the bottom and in the “Charge” button  
   1. Each Item with its description will be listed in the cart as an individual item  
10. Press the charge button to proceed to the payment method selection 

Edit the item description 

Once you’ve added all the items with descriptions to your cart, the iKhokha app gives you the flexibility to edit the descriptions in the cart 

1. To open the cart, tap the green cart button in the top right corner
   1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray  
   2. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green 
2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the listed item to edit the amount 
3. Select the pencil icon to open the full screen  
4. A full screen view of the item will open. Edit the description in the textbox 
5. Press the “Update” button at the top right of the screen to confirm the changes to the item description 
6. You will return to the cart.Press the “Charge” button to proceed to the payment method selection 

Edit the amounts 

Once you’ve added all the items with descriptions to your cart, the iKhokha app gives you the flexibility to edit the amounts in the cart 

1. To open the cart, tap the green cart button in the top right corner 
   1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray  
   2. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green 
2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the listed item to edit the amount 
3. Select the pencil icon to open the full screen  
4. A full screen view of the item will open. Edit the amount in the textbox 
5. Press the “Update” button at the top right of the screen to confirm the changes to the item amount 
6. You will return to the cart 
7. Review the total amount displayed at the bottom of the cart. This amount is now updated based on the edits you made earlier 
   1. The total amount calculated is displayed at the bottom and in the “Charge” button  
8. Press the “Charge” button to proceed to the payment method selection 

Edit the quantity if you sell multiple items with the same description 

Once you’ve added all the items with descriptions to your cart, the iKhokha app gives you the flexibility to adjust quantities in the cart if you are selling multiple items with the same description 

1. To open the cart, tap the green cart button in the top right corner 
   1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray  
   2. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green 
2. Tap the plus or minus button next to the item description listed in the cart OR edit in a full screen view by tapping the three dots in the top right corner of the listed item  
   1. Select the pencil icon to open the full screen 
   2. In full screen view, edit the quantity using the plus and minus buttons, the number will update 
   3. You can also edit the number directly by tapping inside the textbox 
   4. In full screen view, press the “Update” button at the top right of the screen to confirm the changes to the item quantity, you will return to the cart 
3. Review the total amount displayed at the bottom of the cart. This amount is now updated based on the edits you made earlier 
   1. The total amount calculated is displayed at the bottom and inside the “Charge” button . Press the “Charge” button to proceed to the payment method selection 

Remove individual items from the cart 

The iKhokha app allows you to easily remove items you’ve added to the cart. 

1. To open the cart, tap the green cart button in the top right corner 
   1. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray  
   2. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green 
2. You can remove an item by tapping the trash can icon to the left of the item quantity 
   1. If you have increased the quantity of the item, you can press the minus button until the trash can icon appears 
3. You can also open the full screen view by tapping on the item and edit the quantity to zero 

Clear the cart 

If you would like to start over completely, the iKhokha app allows you to clear the entire cart all at once. 

1. To open the cart, tap the green cart button in the top right corner 
2. If the cart is empty the cart button will be gray 
3. If an amount and description has been added to the cart, the button will become green 
4. Press the “CLEAR ALL” button in the top right 
5. Press the back button to return to the Keypad
